I was asked by my friends Sicgmone to showcase some of my designs in a charity fashion show
Doing something for other people you think all of your thoughts would be on them but no I was worried would people like my collection? have I got enough time to make the collection? etc etc
My first thoughts were all about me But the night of the fashion show quickly come around and seeing the inspiring work jeck is doing and is going to continue to do helped all my own worries go away after a great success of the fashion I stayed in contact with jeck and a week later I saw that Jacqueline was working with the kids company to do the Christmas shoebox appeal something that I haven't down since I left school and I really wanted to help. So on my lunch break I went and bought all the things for 2 boxes I got home and told my family and they offered to do 10 more so back I went to buy more things I know that for me and my family Christmas will be great we all give presents and have a beautiful dinner but most importantly we will have each other When I was doing the shoe boxes I thought of the children that not only on Christmas morning but every morning wake up with no one and nothing of their own And something so little as a fresh tooth brush or a new toy could take away that pain even just for a few hours on christmas morning
Meeting Jacqueline has certainly taught Me What I Do Matters it's the little things In life that count giving money giving clothes giving food giving prayers but some times people need our time
So make your New Years resolution the same as mine to know that WhatYouDoMatters !
