So my visit to bridges was a visit i will never forget it helped me open my eyes to the reality that there is so many unfortunate people and by giving some of my own free time up no matter how big or small it can effect someone in such a big way. I can tell you that its effected me in so many positive ways and without a doubt im glad and honoured I was part of it so thank you #WhatYouDoMatters.
In all honesty it was one of my very first times helping the homeless and i didnt know what to expect and how i should approach it all but getting settled in by serving breakfast to them and interacting with some of them made me realise that at the end of the day that we are all human and it doesn't matter about the money or fancy gadgets most of us crave to have, Its really made me cherish the more important things like being happy and not taking for granted the little things we have in life.
Just by talking to some of them i was surprised with how nice there personalities were given the circumstances, and how upbeat they are joking around and interacting back with us like we've known them for years it truly touched my heart and made me realised we are all humans at the end of the day.
Lets just hope there are more people out there that wants to help make a change by giving up some of your free time up to make a difference in someones life, i will definitely be doing it again.
